Risk Assessment & Accidents

You can view and download here the club policy for health and safety relating to risk assessments that all club members must abide by.

To comply with our insurance obligations the club is required to do serveral things:

  1. Keep a record of members attending an event.
  2. Conduct a risk assessment of the venue for the event.
  3. Keep an accident book.

If you’re just going for a ride or breakfast with fellow club members and you haven’t organised this by advertising it in the PVCMC Club News, club website, or on any of the Club Facebook Pages, or haven’t announced and organised it at one of our monthly Club Meetings, then just go ahead, none of the above applies to you.

But if you have organised it via PVCMC Club News, Club Website,Club Facebook Pages, or Club Meetings, then you as the event organiser must:

  1. Fill in an attendance form for everyone who attends, and keep it for three months. You can download the relevant attendance form on this site.
  2. Conduct a risk assessment of the venue for the event. You can download a word document templated form for this. You will see some already completed risk assessments below.
  3. Report and accident or incident (near miss) so that it can be entered in the club accident book. See the Accidents and Incidents section below.
